Profitability diagnostics
I look at your pricing, job costing, and margin data to find where money is slipping through. Most small businesses are keeping busy but not getting ahead. This is the work that figures out why.
Most of this work starts with your existing records — invoices, estimates, time logs, or job reports — to build a picture of what different types of work actually cost versus what they bring in. The goal is to find patterns: service lines that consistently compress margin, estimates that run over, or pricing that hasn't kept pace with costs.
What you get: A written report with specific findings — where margin is compressing, by how much, and what to adjust. You also get a revised pricing reference or markup framework to use going forward.
Process: Typically a few weeks, depending on how organized your existing records are and what data is available to work from.
Typical engagement: $1,500–$4,000
